Boss Dog began in 2018 when founder Vasili (“Vasili”) Nassar—after building a successful Greek yogurt business—adopted Kelby, a 160‑pound Rhodesian Ridgeback who refused all conventional dog foods. Motivated to solve this real problem, he launched Boss Dog with a focus on narrow, high‑value segments like Greek‑style frozen yogurt treats, raw goat milk, freeze‑dried raw diets, and more—each ingredient chosen to support gut and overall health and sourced with a “pasture‑to‑package” ethos. Starting out by placing 250 branded freezers in pet specialty stores, the brand has grown steadily, fueled by Nassar’s belief that patience through pain is essential to doing things right—and delivering products that pets genuinely love.
